2021 UA vs UAPB Game Week | Oct. 18 - 23


Helping all Arkansas students access higher education is the primary goal of a series of events scheduled in Central Arkansas the week of Oct. 18-23, leading up to the first football game between the University of Arkansas and University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff.

Before the Razorbacks and Golden Lions meet at Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 23, members of both university communities will have multiple opportunities to come together in support of shared goals.

Monday, October 18 | Steak Out Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner 

Join the U of A's Central Arkansas Chapter for a steak dinner at the Letterman's Club in War Memorial Stadium. Net proceeds from this event will donated to the Jon L. Richardson Memorial Scholarship.

  • 6-9 p.m. – War Memorial Stadium Letterman's Club, Gate 7
  • $45 for Alumni Association members, $50 for non-members
  • Registration is open.

Tuesday, October 19 | Together, Forward: A Conversation About Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Arkansas

Leaders at the University of Arkansas discuss the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts on campus and beyond.

Emcee: Victor Wilson, senior director of priority initiatives and development, Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Participants: Yvette Murphy-Erby, vice chancellor, Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Mark Power, vice chancellor for Advancement, Derita Ratcliffe Dawkins, assistant vice chancellor and deputy director of Athletics/senior woman administrator, Deacue Fields, dean and senior associate vice president for agriculture – academics, University of Arkansas.

Pathways to Higher Education College Readiness Night

A college readiness event for prospective U of A and UAPB students. Dinner will be provided for community partners, families, students, faculty and staff.

Virtual Black Business Summit

The Dr. Barbara A. Lofton Office for Diversity and Inclusion, Walton College, and the Arkansas Urban League partner with the U of A and UAPB to host a virtual  business forum.

The forum features Arkansas Black Mayors Association, Black business owners, and former athletes, Celia Anderson Torii Hunter, and Sidney Moncrief.

Join us for a free tailgating experience before the game. Razorbacks and Golden Lions welcome!
